Footbeat Introduction

Company Info

Chances are, as you’re viewing our website, you’re sitting. If you’re like most people you spend numerous hours during the day sitting or stationary.

This type of sedentary lifestyle is becoming more and more common and is increasingly becoming a greater risk to your health. Research shows that long periods of inactivity significantly increase the risk of heart disease, diabetes, cancer, obesity and a host of other health issues.

For more than 35 years Dr. David Mayer treated patients as a practicing orthopedic surgeon. Over that time, he saw first-hand the negative effects a sedentary lifestyle had on his patients’ health. He watched as his patients suffered and experienced frustration over potential remedies for these ailments, specifically as it relates to the use of circulation enhancement devices.

Over the years, Dr. Mayer found the primary concern about therapies and treatments associated with popular circulation enhancement devices were immobility, noise and discomfort. To combat these concerns, Dr. Mayer created AVEX, LLC, a privately held company dedicated to enhancing quality of life.

Dr. Mayer spent the next seven years developing Footbeat®, a first-in-class active recovery device, providing a therapeutic massage that reduces pain and increases the body’s circulation through precise, cyclic pressure on the bottom of the foot. This proven method helps users achieve the natural circulatory benefits of walking during periods of immobility. Footbeat is clinically proven, non-invasive, mobile, and easy to use, which leads to better compliance, superior results and improved health.
