FAQs

  • Q. What is Footbeat?

    A. A first-in-class active recovery device. It is designed to increase circulation in the lower extremities. The engine fits into an insole, which is designed to fit into a Footbeat Moc.

  • Q. How do you turn Footbeat ON and OFF?

    A. Footbeat comes with a Bluetooth remote control for turning Footbeat ON and OFF. Push the button on the remote once to turn it ON. A solid green light will indicate the Footbeat has been turned on. Push the button again and a red light will be displayed indicating the Footbeat unit has been turned OFF. If the light is blinking green, it means the remote is pairing. Once the pairing is complete, the device will start.

  • Q. Is Footbeat lightweight?

    A. Yes, it is approximately 3.5 oz

  • Q. Does Footbeat help circulation of the feet?

    A. Yes, Footbeat has successfully completed three, independently conducted studies each of which demonstrated significant blood movement. All three studies are published and peer-reviewed.

  • Q. Does it feel good?

    A. The cyclic pressure applied to the bottom of the foot has been described as, “similar to a foot massage” by many of our customers. We are confident most of our customers will enjoy wearing Footbeat but for those customers that do find the pressure uncomfortable, we would encourage you to visit our customer support page so we can help resolve the issue.

  • Q. Can I wear Footbeat outside?

    A. Yes, Footbeat can be worn outside in dry conditions. Do not wear Footbeat while walking in water, mud, rain, snow or any outside moisture. This could damage the Footbeat engine.

  • Q. How long does it take to charge Footbeat?

    A. Approximately one hour.

  • Q. Is Footbeat able to be charged in countries other than the U.S.?

    A. Yes, with the appropriate plug adapter.

  • Q. What is the Footbeat moc?

    A. The moc is a lightweight slipper specifically designed for the Footbeat insole and engines.

  • Q. Can I put the Footbeat insole into my own shoes?

    A. Footbeat insoles are designed specifically to fit into the Footbeat Moc. The insole is larger than a standard insole so it may not fit properly into your shoe. This could limit the effectiveness of Footbeat and lead to a less than optimal result. If you would like to use the Footbeat insole in your own shoe, we recommend consulting with your doctor or podiatrist to help ensure the proper fit.

  • Q. Is Footbeat waterproof?

    A. Footbeat is water repellant NOT waterproof. Care should be exercised in keeping Footbeat dry and free from dirt and debris. Please refer to the Warranty section of the Instructions For Use.

  • Q. Can I wash Footbeat?

    A. No. Footbeat is a mechanical device designed to function in the naturally humid environment of a shoe. It is not designed to be in water or mud. Please consult the Instructions For Use for further information regarding how the product can or can't be used and for cleaning instructions.

  • Q. Do I need to wear a sock while wearing Footbeat?

    A. The Footbeat socks included in the Recovery Kit are recommended for optimal results. These socks are moisture-wicking and anti-microbial, minimizing odor and providing protection for sensitive skin. You can also use a thin sock such as a shear nylon sock or a bare foot. Heavy socks restrict the movement of the Footbeat pad going into the arch and can limit the effectiveness of your Footbeat.

  • Q. How tight does Footbeat need to be on my feet?

    A. It is important to have the Moc snug to the foot in order to secure Footbeat into the proper position. The Moc should not be so tight it hurts or causes your feet to become numb, or too loose that the insole can move from side to side.

  • Q. What happens when I start walking?

    A. If your Footbeat is on when you start walking, it will automatically pause when motion is detected. Moving around is one of the best ways to increase circulation in your legs and Footbeat’s cyclic pressure is not required. Once you stop moving, Footbeat will start up again after a short pause.

  • Q. Who can wear Footbeat?

    A. Footbeat can be worn by anyone wanting the benefits of active recovery or improved circulation.

  • Q. Should I use ice for pain reduction if using Footbeat?

    A. No, ice is not recommended.

  • Q. Is Footbeat suppose to make noise?

    A. The noise made by Footbeat is the motor moving the pad up and down into the arch. The noise lets the user know they are receiving the benefits of active recovery.
